Commemoration of Abu Nasr Muhammad al-Farabi: The Day of Wisdom and Philosophy

November 21 is observed annually as the Day of Wisdom and Philosophy in the Iranian calendar, in honor of Abu Nasr Muhammad al-Farabi (c. 870–950), one of Iran’s most distinguished philosophers and polymaths.
