Ambassador of Iran Meets with Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament

On Wednesday, 9 July 2025, H.E. Dr. AliReaza Delkhosh, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sri Lanka, met with Hon. (Dr.) Jagath Wickramaratne, Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries referred to the deep-rooted civilizational ties between Iran and Sri Lanka and emphasized the need to expand parliamentary relations as a platform for fostering mutual cultural understanding and economic collaboration.

The discussion took place in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, with both sides expressing readiness to continue dialogue and support joint initiatives under the framework of parliamentary diplomacy.
