He introduced the Hindu-Arabic numeral system to the world through his seminal work The Book of Addition and Subtraction According to the Hindu Calculation and independently founded algebra with his masterpiece The Compendious Book on Calculation by Completion and Balancing; a monumental achievement by this Iranian genius that not only immortalized his name in the global term "Algorithm," but also laid the very foundation for modern mathematics, computer science, and today's information technology, permanently enshrining Iran's legacy as a cradle of global scientific innovation.
