Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sri Lanka met with Dr. Harini Amarasuriya the honorable Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Repu

On Tuesday 26 November 2024 , the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sri Lanka met with Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, the honorable Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, the Iranian Ambassador congratulated Sri Lanka on the formation of its new government and parliament and emphasized Iran’s readiness to enhance comprehensive economic, cultural, and political cooperation.

The honorable Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, highlighting the long-standing relations between the two countries, stated that the new Sri Lankan government’s approach is to further develop relations  with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
