:The statement issued by the Hashemi Foundation 29 February 2026 was read as follows:
Hashimi Foundation Denounces Threats Against Iran's Supreme Leader as a Grave Violation of Religious and Human Dignity
The Hashimi Foundation issues its strongest condemnation of the threatening and derogatory statements directed at His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Such rhetoric constitutes an unacceptable breach of moral responsibility, diplomatic conduct, and respect for religious sanctity.
Threats against a figure of such profound religious and moral standing extend far beyond the individual. They represent an affront to the sanctities of Islam, to the collective dignity of the Muslim Ummah, and to the universally recognized principle that religious leadership must be safeguarded from intimidation and incitement.
His Eminence Imam Khamenei is widely regarded as a distinguished Quranic scholar and a consequential moral authority whose influence is rooted in faith, integrity, and principled adherence to the teachings of the Holy Quran. Any attempt to demean or threaten such a leader undermines the foundations of mutual respect, interfaith coexistence, and international stability.
The Hashimi Foundation categorically rejects this dangerous and irresponsible posture and calls upon all leaders, institutions, and people of conscience to uphold restraint, respect religious sanctities, and affirm the dignity inherent in humanity. Silence in the face of such threats risks normalizing conduct that endangers peace, moral order, and global responsibility.
