All citizens living in Sri Lanka and Maldives can apply for an Iran visa from the Consular Section of The Embassy of The Islamic Republic of Iran in Colombo.

Procedure:

• You may complete and submit your application to our E-Visa portal: e_visa.mfa.ir/en
• Submit the original passport to the embassy's consular section and make payment.

The payment receipt for the visa fee, was paid into our account. Fees can be paid through online transactions and cash deposits.

Important notes:

• The visa-issuing process takes 5 working days from the passport submission date
• Visa submission and collection is Monday to Friday 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• An urgent visa is available (submission Monday to Friday 9 AM to 11 AM and collection on the same day 3 PM to 4:30 PM). An additional 50% will be added to the Visa fee.
