Women’s Day and Mother’s Day celebrated in honor of birth of Prophet Mohammad’s daughter Lady Fatima

Celebration of birthday of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (PBUH) and Women’s and Mothers’ Day in Iran.

Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (PBUH), the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was born on the 20th of Jumada al-Thani, eight years before Hijra. In the Islamic Republic of Iran, this blessed occasion is observed as Women’s and Mothers’ Day.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sri Lanka extends its sincere congratulations on this auspicious day to all Muslims, particularly the noble people of Iran and Sri Lanka, and especially to all respected women.
