Eid al-Ghadir A Beacon of Shia Unity and Quest for Justice

With heartfelt salutations and benevolent wishes to all Shia brethren in Iran, Sri Lanka, and across the globe, we commemorate the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Ghadir, a day that recalls the historic moment of 18th Dhu al-Hijjah, 10 AH. It was then that the Noble Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) wisely appointed Hazrat Ali (peace be upon him) as his successor at Ghadir Khum, paving the way for justice and leadership. Throughout his illustrious life, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) waged a noble struggle against oppressors, striving tirelessly for the establishment of justice; this Eid stands as a legacy of unity, faith, and resistance against tyranny.

Today, as we honor this blessed day, our hearts are laden with sorrow upon hearing of the unwarranted assault upon Iran at dawn on 23rd Khordad 1404 (13th June 2025). This grievous event underscores the pressing need for peace and steadfastness against injustice. May this Eid inspire a renewed resolve among Shia communities to foster unity and offer prayers for the triumph of justice and tranquility across the world. We beseech the Almighty to grant enduring peace and the victory of truth over falsehood, especially for the noble people of Iran.
