On Monday, February 10, 2025, the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and National Day was celebrated with great splendor in Colombo. The event saw the extensive presence of ambassadors, political, economic, military, cultural, and parliamentary officials, along with business leaders.

The Honorable Dr. Upali Pannilage, Minister of Social Security and Rural Development, attended as the special guest. He conveyed the congratulatory message of His Excellency Mr. Anura Dissanayake, President of Sri Lanka, to His Excellency Dr. Pezeshkian, the esteemed President of Iran, and delivered valuable remarks on the longstanding and friendly relations between the two countries.

The guests at the event were introduced to Iran’s advancements in various fields and the country’s cultural and natural attractions. A visiting music ensemble performed classical Iranian music, which was well received and applauded by the audience.
