Foreign Ministry: Iran has never been part of conflict between Russia Ukraine

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson has echoed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s previous assertions that the country has emphasized many times that it opposes war and supports a political solution to sort out the differences between Russia and Ukraine to stop the military conflict.
Nasser Kanaani made the remarks on Sunday answering a question by IRNA news agency’s political desk reporter on claims that Iran has delivered ballistic missiles to Russia.
He said since the beginning of the crisis in Ukraine, the Islamic Republic of Iran has never been a part of the war and military conflict, stressing Iran’s supportive stance on a political solution and bilateral talks to end the crisis and conflict.
The spokesperson added the Islamic Republic of Iran’s principled and declared approach on the crisis in Ukraine has not changed.
He slammed some Western countries for repeating the claim of delivering ballistic missiles to Russia as politically driven and completely baseless.
Kanaani stated, “The conventional military cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation has a much older history than the start of the Ukrainian war.”
“The cooperation is within the framework of bilateral deals and based on international norms and laws and has nothing to do with the crisis in Ukraine,” he explained.
In the Following Sunday answering a question meeting, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani has harshly slammed an uncustomary statement by the British, French and German foreign ministers on revoking bilateral deals for providing air services to the Islamic Republic of Iran and imposing sanctions on Iran’s airline, Iran Air, under the pretext of involvement in the conflict in Ukraine.
Kanaani stated, “The move by the three European countries is in line with the West’s hostile policy and economic terrorism against the Iranian people, and will face the corresponding and proportionate move by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The spokesperson of the Iranian diplomatic service, reiterated Iran’s transparent and proclaimed stance on the war in Ukraine, saying, “As we have stressed in the past, any claim that the Islamic Republic of Iran has sold ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation is completely baseless and false.”
Kanaani further said, “The US and the three European countries are the main sources of supplying weapons to the Zionist regime and are accomplices in the massive massacre of the Palestinian people and genocide in Gaza, and they must be held accountable for their wrong policies.”
